The evening programme continued with a soul-stirring performance by Kumud Jha Diwan, a PhD holder in Business Studies and a renowned semi-classical singer specializing in Thumri. Her captivating renditions included the thumri "Maine man re kiya, tune tikuli ke beech badha kahe ko diya" in Kaushik Dhvani, a Dadra known as "Sidhi ka Dadra," and a Bandish in Raag Bhairavi. Her performance culminated with "Saawariya Pyaara Re Mori Guiyan" and "Jiya Mora Kaampe. Kumud Jha Diwan's melodious voice, reminiscent of the late Siddheshwari Devi and Rasoolan Bai of Banaras Gharana, has earned her the prestigious 'Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award' in 2010. She holds the title of 'Sangeet Prabhakar' in singing from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and is a graded artiste of All India Radio, as well as a listed artiste of ICCR
