The second presentation of the cultural program featured the renowned singer Sudha Raghunathan, who began her performance with "Mathe Ek Varnam" in Raaga Khamaj, dedicated to the Universal Mother. She followed this with a Raaga dedicated to 'Kashi Ramkriya' by music composer Shri Muthuswami Dikshitar, invoking Lord Ganesha. Sudha Raghunathan also presented "Pantuvarali" and concluded the programme with a selection of devotional folk compositions. Sudha Raghunathan is one of the brightest stars of Carnatic music in India, known for her mesmerizing voice. She has received prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan and Sangeeta Kalanidhi. Sudha Raghunathan's mastery of singing techniques, complex styles, and her authentic renditions of 'Kriti,' 'Raaga,' and 'Kalpana Swara' make her a supreme artist. She has performed at numerous concerts worldwide, captivating millions with her voice. Sudha Ragunathan has released over 200 albums with major recording companies and holds a top ranking in Prasar Bharati, All India Radio, and Doordarshan. She had the unique honour of presenting Vande Mataram in the Central Hall of Parliament, New Delhi, on January 27, 2000, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of independent Indian Republic. Sudha Raghunathan's musical journey began under the guidance of her mother, Mrs. Chudamani, and she received a scholarship from the Central Government in 1977, enabling her to study under Padma Bhushan Sangeet Kalanidhi Dr. M.L. Vartak. Beyond her musical success, Sudha Raghunathan established the "Community Foundation" in 1999, a charitable organization that has contributed to numerous social and educational causes, including palliative care. She has brought Carnatic music to corporation schools, remote villages, and even prisons, preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of India
